Dear Editor,

We would like to thank all who attended and helped out with the second annual Granby Community Thanksgiving Dinner at Brickhouse 40.  We served over 100 dinners on Thanksgiving.  It was a fantastic time for the Community to get together as a community and celebrate Thanksgiving as it was meant to be celebrated. 

In particular I'd like to thank the following folks who made this happen:  Ransom Flint, Tia Bakke, and our killer kitchen staff - Jason Keen, Mark Consiglio, Chip Travelute, Travis Minear, Brady Garrett and Justin Jimenez.  These people all spent a lot of personal hours helping us to plan, get the word out or prepare and serve the dinner.  Thank you!

I'd also like to thank the following members of the community who stepped forward and supported us through generous donations and contributions: .  The staff at the Granby Medical Center donated all the wonderful pies, Ian's Bakery donated yummy mini muffins and scones and Blue water Bakery donated the delicious rolls.  Thank you also to those who contributed to help buying the Turkey and the rest of the fixings: R&J Liquors, The VanBockern family and Lou and Faye Arnold.  We truly appreciate your support.

And finally, to all the folks who showed up on Thanksgiving Day to help out however was needed.  Dick Stowers, John Simcox, Sheryl Butts, Merna and Jeanine Shunk, Tia and Keren Bakke, The Ricketts family, David, Robin and Tristan Conger, The Swope family, The Bohlender family, Lou and Faye Arnold, Deb and Gary Koldyke, Dawn, Kathleen and Levi Miller from First Class Auto.  Thank you so much for sharing your Thanksgiving with us. 

To everyone in our community - please save the date next year.  We plan on doing this again and would like to see anyone and everyone in the Community stop by.  Even if you have other plans for dinner we'd love to have everyone at least swing by, say hello and enjoy what a great community of people we have.
